New Beginnings

This is here now then the test of a new tool for me, and it might even make blogging a bit more commonplace for me but we’ll see how that exactly well work out.

At least the beginning has looked promising so we can only hope out continues like this.

Also, let us not forget, ” All is well with the commander!” 🙂

About the author

  1. Hello Koit, I came across your blog by accident whilst looking up STCW 95 stuff.

I have tried again today with the BA and I know I’m not going to be able to do it tomorrow. I’m absolutely heartbroken and I hate myself for it. I’ve always been claustrophobic, but talking to my mother today, I’ve realised that it’s maybe not entirely my fault. I spent some time with a very bad man who attempted to strangle me and I think that has a lot to do with my terror of having something over my face. That combined with my fear of confined spaces just makes the exercise untenable for me, completely.

I’m going back tomorrow to see if there’s anything that can be done, but if not, I’ve lost my job. I’m not holding out much hope but we will see.

In the meantime, I hope you are enjoying your time at sea and I wish you the best of luck. It was a pleasure to have met you.

    1. Heya Jackie

For what it’s worth, I hope you got through it okay this time round. No one should see a thing that they could enjoy this much as you think you can enjoy this job taken away from them.

One way or another, things will hopefully work out for you.

All the best to you too, Jackie.

  2. Hey Koit, didn’t get through it but que sera? Searching for onshore jobs now. Still in touch with Holly. Do miss you guys.

Keep up the blog. It’s good to hear what your thoughts are.

    1. Ah, sorry to hear that. Any luck with anything thus far (I take it there’s nothing in Gardline without the SCWT)? Have you tried Fugro ones (I know Fugro Aperio does onshore construction geophysical imaging or something along those lines)?

Hope you find something soon! 🙂

NB! I am actually writing blog posts over here, but I am of the opinion I’ll just load them up when I get back onshore because I am not fond of this internet and the capabilities we have here right now. But thanks!

  3. Fugro had one vacancy but they wanted a junior, so I think I’m over-qualified.

Gardline have some onshore jobs coming up soon though and they’re keeping me in mind 🙂

Get in touch when you’re back. We should have catch up drinks with Holly!
